Mencom announced an improved version of the MIXO modular pneumatic connection system, which uses a new self-extinguishing thermoplastic insert and metal contacts. The new MIXO system not only allows the compressed air distribution system to circulate more frequently, but also ensures better mechanical resistance and increases the flow of dry and compressed air in the pneumatic system.

These metal pneumatic contacts can permanently withstand a constant pressure of 10 bar. When installed with the high mating number (HNM) series housing and modular unit frame, the contacts can be matched up to 10,000 times, and when installed with the MIXO frame and standard housing, the contacts can be matched up to 500 times. The contacts are available in straight and angular types, suitable for plastic pipes of different sizes, with an inner diameter and an outer diameter of 3 mm, 4 mm and 6 mm.

In a single MIXO module, two different pneumatic installation methods can be installed.

If required, female contacts can be used with fixed valves to avoid any air loss due to unconnected connectors. The new pneumatic series can also be used side-by-side with other MIXO series modules, and is compatible with standard rectangular housings of various sizes, including high-structure versions.
