We all know that it is a sense of frustration to walk to the car early in the morning and find that the tire is flat. What do you do? Maybe seize the spare, or it has a chance to try to refuel at the gas station on the corner? Don't sound too much like Morpheus in The Matrix, but what if I told you that the 2-gallon Hart cordless air compressor is your answer to this and other DIY projects?

Check out our article on the best air compressors to learn about our top choices in various applications and uses.

Hart's cordless compressor can produce up to 120 PSI and 0.5 SCFM at 90 PSI, which is ideal for finishing nail guns and other low-output pneumatic tools, tire tops and small inflators. If your tool requires continuous air output, such as an HVLP paint sprayer or sander, you will need a model that can provide more air.

Hart told us that this cordless air compressor can fully inflate a flat tire in 1 minute. We assume that they are referring to ordinary car tires, not large truck or SUV tires. However, if you find that you need more air, it will be fully charged (charged) in approximately 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

If you are not sure how much air you need, please check the specifications of the tool you plan to use in the manual or online. 120 PSI is sufficient for most applications. This is the SCFM requirement that you should pay close attention to.

The fuel tank is 2 gallons, which is the best fuel tank you can find on a cordless model. The first one we tested was from Ridgid and was only one gallon. The benefit of keeping more air is that you can do more work before the pump needs to start the charging cycle.

There is a universal quick connector for connecting hoses. Considering the output level, this is the correct call.

Portability is the biggest outstanding feature and the whole reason for having a cordless compressor. Equipped with a 4.0Ah battery, it weighs only 18.25 pounds, making it easy to carry out any off-road adventure or backyard project that can't use electricity.

On the front, you will find two analog gauges for measuring tank and line pressure and a pressure control knob. To set the pressure you want, just adjust the knob to the left for a lower pressure or to the right for a higher pressure.

The noise level of this compressor is not bad at all. We measured it from 6 feet away, and our SPL meter recorded only 70 decibels (A-weighted, slow response).

Oil-free pumps make your compressor easier to maintain, but you need to do a few things. First of all, there is a running-in period. Turn on the fully charged 4.0Ah battery, open the drain valve, and let the motor run continuously for 30 minutes (or until the battery is completely depleted).

After finishing a day, be sure to empty the water tank. The air carries moisture and is trapped in the water tank. Over time, it may begin to rust from the inside out. It rusts faster in areas close to salt water.

When storing the compressor, continue to ensure that the switch is in the "off" position, and then remove the battery.

It is also a good practice to remove the hose from the compressor and remove the tool from the hose.

You can buy your own Hart cordless air compressor with a 4Ah battery and charger at Walmart for $198.00. Hart provides a 3-year limited warranty.

Portable, light and convenient-Hart uses their 20V cordless compressor to push it vigorously. Remember, this compressor is not equipped with any hoses, so don't forget to get one. Whether you are working in a garage, backyard or outskirts, Hart can provide you with the air you need to get your projects and adventures on track.
