The Apple iPad Air is one of the best tablets currently available, but turning it into a suitable productivity machine usually means buying a keyboard case. Logitech has been selling its Combo Touch keyboard case. It has added a keyboard, touchpad and case to the latest iPad Air. It is now sold in multiple stores for $169.99. This is $30 lower than the usual price, which seems to be the first discount ever.
This protective case is specially designed for the 4th generation iPad Air (A2316, A2324, A2325 and A2072) and provides you with a detachable backlit keyboard with 16 levels of brightness and a full row of iPadOS shortcut keys. The protective case component protects the front, back and corners of the iPad, and has a stand on the side and an opening for charging the Apple Pencil. Even if you are not typing, the stand can also come in handy for streaming. In addition, the keyboard uses the iPad’s built-in smart connector, so you don’t need to charge it (unlike Bluetooth-based keyboard accessories).
The Logitech Combo Touch Case is currently priced at $169.99, which is $129 cheaper than Apple's own Magic Keyboard. The Magic Keyboard is a bit advanced, especially the built-in USB Type-C port, but it does not provide any protection for the iPad itself. Apple also sells the Smart Keyboard Folio at a price lower than the Logitech case for only $99, but the iPad has limited angle adjustment and does not have a built-in trackpad.
